What is a Log Book Service?

A Logbook service is a service set out by the manufacture for a certain period of time or kms for maintenance of the vehicle.

Why do I need a log book service?

To cover the warranty requirements and to ensure the longevity of your vehicle.

What happens if I miss a Service?

It may void your warranty and cause excessive wear of the motor, which will effect the performance of your vehicle.

Do you have Loan cars and how much do they cost?

Our courtesy cars are free when you book in a service or repair at Automotive Instincts. Subject to availability.

Will I lose my New Car Warranty if I don't go back to the dealer?

No.  There is no requirement under the Australian Consumer Law for a vehicle to be serviced by an authorized dealer in order for the consumer guarantees and manufacturer’s warranty to apply, provided the service is accordance with the specified requirements by a qualified mechanic or service centre. Do you provide Digital reports for the work you have done? or a digital report of what's wrong with my car?

Yes we can provide you with a digital report on request, please provide us an email address at time of booking.

How long will the service take?

A minor service will take approx. 1.5 hours. When you make a booking, we can advise you of the approximate time it will take to complete your work.

How much will my service cost?

Car servicing costs will vary on the type of vehicle you own. Services can start from $250.

How can I pay for my Service?

We accept Cash, Credit/Debit card , bank transfer and offer the convenience of Afterpay finance options.

When are you Open?

Automotive Instincts is open Monday to Friday from an early start of 7am to 4.30pm each week day. Saturday by appointment only.

What is the earliest time I can bring my car in?

We can receive cars for servicing or repairs from 7am in the morning.

Can I drop off my car after hours?

Yes you can drop off your vehicle after hours if that is more convenient for you.

Is there a secure key drop off box after hours?

Yes we have a secure letter box to drop your keys into. Let us know at time of booking to expect this.

Can I collect my car after hours?

Yes you can by prior arrangement.

Can you pick up my car from home?

Yes this is possible but conditions apply. Please call us to arrange.

Can you drop me home when I deliver my car for servicing or repair?

Yes this is possible but conditions apply. Please call us to arrange.

What happens if something is not right after my car service?

We take great pride in our work, but if something doesn't seem quite right then just let us know. Plus you have the added assurance of our REPCO Nationwide Warranty if you find yourself out of town.

Will you give me reminders when my next sercive is due?

Yes we can send you a service reminder so you don't miss out on your next service.

Can my car be serviced at the same time it is repaired?

Yes your car can be service if it is in for repairs. Let us know at time of booking.

How do I book in a Service?

How often should I really service my car?

We recommend every 10,000kms or 6 months which ever comes first.

I don't drive much, do I still need a service?

Yes, components wear and deteriorate even the car is not used often.

Can you fix other things while my car is being serviced?

We sure can. If we find an issue during service we will let you know and endeavour to fix it same day.

Can you wash my car?

Yes, we can wash and vacuum your vehicle while it is in our Reservoir workshop if requested and it is complimentary.

What type of oils and parts do you use?

We only use OEM quality parts and oil for vehicle servicing and repairs.

Do you check my brakes during a service?

Yes, we check your car's brakes with every service.
